“Home of Cherokee Nation leader”
The John Ross House in Rossville, Georgia was the home of Cherokee Nation leader John Ross from 1830-1838, after his lands and fine home near the Coosa River had been taken by the state. The house was moved a short distance from its original location in the 1960s. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1973
Closed to the public. Can not visit inside but you can see the house from the road.
